Signal Light Disingage

For once this isn't something that's broken. More just something I'd like to change.
Is it possible to increase the range of motion I can get out of turning my wheel without disengaging the turn signal?
My problem is that my city uses traffic circles more than any other city in my province and I'm having trouble where I'm signaling a direction that I'm not turning and it tries to trip out on me. So I have to force it down and when I do so it clicks and fights me on it.

Anybody have thoughts on the matter?

I imagine if you take the covers off the column, and remove the multifunction switch, you might be able REMOVE something in there (on column) to disable the automatic cancel feature.. of course you would have to cancel the turn signal yourself...

basically there is a part that 'trips' the catch on the multifunction switch allowing it to pop back to the center (the stalk is spring loaded). removal of the part (not sure where it is, or if it is even removable for sure) will keep the auto cancel from working.
