1) When you tap the turn signal, it keeps blinking for 3 seconds
2) HUD projected on the windshield
3) A trunk light in the center of the rear deck and on the other side of the trunk
4) A door detent that is more aggressive so I don't have to hear my girlfriend biatch cause the door keeps kicking back closed.

Pretty much. But I don't have the time to do things I REALLY want to do, let alone crawl my fat arse around in the trunk and hook up LED light strips. :)

But that is pretty much it. Why they don't do that, or at least have the strip in the deck-lid, I will never know. I guess they figure you are only going into the trunk when the sun's out.

I wish it had a modern gauge cluster.

I also wish it had awd and the 4.6 or comparable engine for more aftermarket.

I don't think engine was really considered to be under the "silly" things wishlist. lol

Agreed on the cluster, but would add that the overall green LED everything inside is way too old school for how decently modern the car is.

1. push start (I know, quik as this mod )
2. room for legs in the backseat.
3. remove rear ash trays
4. access door behind center rear seat armrest/cupholder.

Yeah it's pretty sad that some fwd economy cars have a newer looking gauge cluster than ours.

That wood gets damn cold. Yeah my drivers seat heat or ac doesn't work.

i think a lot of that could be made with some ingenuity

Other than heated stuff that may cost more and be more dangerous being homemade than its worth

No complaints here....well, maybe the button right of the selector would be nice.

Well... The NEWEST LS is 6 years old.

I drove my sister-in-law's Explorer that has the push start/stop. I absolutely hated it. I guess I'm too old school. To me it's just a gimmick with no real benefit. Yet another answer to a question no one asked!

You can buy another trunk light and fit it to the other side. I did that a few years ago. No crawling around in the trunk either as you splice off the existing one and run the wires underneath/behind the plastic along the outer edge.

Yes, and they stopped doing any real updates two years before that.

I've driven cars with push button start. The only benefit that I saw was that you can just leave your "key" in your pocket all the time. You have to admit that it's sort of neat to just walk up to the car and have it unlock when you touch the handle. No need to fumble with the remote.

Not really new options but...

1. All LSs should have the LSE bumper. I get that they wanted the LSE and stock LS to look different, but the LSE bumper looks so much better they just shoulda used it on every car.
2. I think some LSs have rear heated seats but it seems there are very few.
3. Speakers (especially rears) in different place
4. Better headrests - maybe it's just me and I sit like a hood, but no matter how I adjust my seat it never seems my head naturally rests against the head rest unless I sit in a really uncomfortable position.
5. Less plastic.
6. Keypad on the pillar although I don't hate where it is now.
7. Bigger exhaust tips - I replaced mine and my mechanic even said it's pretty crazy how huge the cutouts are on the gen 2's

you sit on peoples heads, I could see how that would be uncomfortable

I agree with pretty much all of that other than the keypad, I love not having one they look tacky other than the new ones that are built into the pillar and you cant see it until lights up but seeing how those were not yet around the one we have would look even worse on the pillar.

1- all 06's should have THX
2-on the 8 spoke chrome wheels, they should have made them all with machined chrome between the spokes.
3- some lights under the hood wouldn't hurt either.
4- an umbrella hole in the driver door, like they have on the Bentley! :D

number 4 you can do with a 2inch hole saw and a piece of 2 inch pvc with cap on the one end.
