Single Din Aftermarket Stereo Install

I've got a 2005 LS and am looking to replace the existing radio with an aftermarket stereo. (LINK)

I'm brand new to this, and hoping to install it on my own. Can anyone here provide me with any information on installing an aftermarket stereo? I'm having a hard time finding the correct wiring harness, and am wondering if I can retain my steering wheel controls.

Any help would be much appreciated, you guys are the pros

unless you have the THX system, installing the radio is about as easy as most cars...


I don't really understand what the parts are hard to find? go you one of the companies that makes install parts Like this one here, enter you car and see what are the right parts you will need... clue* a wire harness and dash kit (also not sure but i think the single din kit only comes in black, so you may want to spend a few more dollars and get JVC's double din version)

and yes, just like every other ford, the steering wheel controls can be retained (that also just happens to be one of the parts metra reccomends)
