Well, its finally begun. My 1990 LSC SE with 164K is starting to loose air and now the front will drop about 60-70 % of its travel over night. Takes about 30 seconds to refill. Since both fronts dropping at the same rate I'm assuming its not the bags but some leak closer to the compressor. Hate to see my baby starting to have these ageing problems but I guess that we all have them. I may attempt to do the repair job myself and I'm considering 4 bags, solinoids, a pump and dryer. Found some instructions on the web but wondering if there are any pitfalls that you guys may be aware of that you can share. Also, I've been looking at bag/kit suppliers and wondering if you guys have any preferances or recommendations.

Go to Eddie Spinks at American Air Suspension...

Same parts but a much better dealer and he give a longer warranty....

Plus if you ever need help or something is wrong this guy is fast to put it right and will help you out every inch of the way.

Also he'll buy back old parts.

Thanks Mespock for the info on American air suspension. I'll contact Eddie.

Any thoughts about pitfalls that I might want to be aware of? I was pretty lucky with my last issue, the ignition switch but I'm always wanting to be sure that I don't mess something up out of ignorance. Hopefully NYC, (Now and LSer too), Oldschool or Oneway may have some advice also. :)

Air springs are easy. The instructions provided with them will fill you in on any details, but it's straight forward. Arnott and Strutmasters are two aftermarket options. Search this section for more on the subject, as it's been covered plenty.

Steel springs for the win! (been awhile since i've posted...hahahah)
