I was just wondering if any of the newer Factory head units came with the sirrius option available in it. I would like to get it but really don't want the external unit, and don't like the way the little head units look in the space. I would like to see the double din in an LS, but it is not like I could afford one if it did look good. Thanks for your time and I will talk to you guys soon.

According to the Owner's Manual and the '05 promotional materials, Sirius is an available dealer-installed option for the Audiophile units in the '04s and '05s (maybe '03s as well, but I don't know). I can tell you that my '04 has the SAT button, though I don't have the Sirius unit. One of the LLSOC guys has the Sirius units for the LS at a decent price, so I'm seriously considering getting one.

Actually, that brings up my one real gripe about the LS--why is it that my parents' Freestyle has an MP3-capable stereo, but my LS doesn't (and the '05s apparently still don't) even have it as an available option? Guess I'll have to go back to the Explorer and its Alpine unit to hear the music I want... :-/

I see your name and location just thought I would say that I grew up in Moore Ok and miss it every day. I do have to say though that I love being in the south and being an OU fan. Nothing like rubbing it in their face, now if we could just actually win a championship!!! :dancefool

my car came with xm already in it. (used) I love the sat. radio over regular radio any day.

I really want sirrius, and I know ford just signed a big contract with sirrius to put several Sirrius units in their cars but just was not sure if there was one that would fit in my car.

Chrysler may be doing Sirius as well (GM's big into XM), but Ford's been onboard with Sirius for several years. FoMoCo committed to Sirius (I think they bought into the company, but it may have just been a contractual thing) when it was starting up, though it took a couple of years for them to start putting them in the cars.

As for football, at least we have no problems with FSU. :) My brother was in hell last fall; he was in Ft. Mitchell, AL, and the sports radio shows would only talk about Auburn and sometimes Georgia Tech...

OH yeah I think that most of those Auburn boys should be glad that we went to that game cause noone was going to beat USC that night. But yeah I know I have a few friends down here that went to Auburn and I hear it everyday. I went to the sugarbowl last year and I know a bunch of LSU clowns and I never heard the end of it till this year. Then they all of a sudden didn't have much to say.

I just had Sirius installed in my LS 03 today. I have the THX NAV system and it sounds awsome but I'm still trying to figure it all out. The guy who installed it forgot the user manual so I'm kinda winging it right now. So if someone knows how to locate the manual on line it would be very helpfull. The person who had the car before me had the Sirius with cradel, I wanted the factory installed system I here it sounds much cleaner that way. Anyways thats what I prefered so their my two cents. :) Joe

Hit thier website. I know DirecTV has the pdf for all of the systems they use. The manufacturers website would defintely have it though. I pretty much discard the docs shipped with my new electronics and download them to the pc.

I just put in XM yesterday and it is awesome. Even with the antenna inside the car the reception is flawless.
