My LS has been skipping alot lately. It only does it when in 5th Gear( its an Auto V8) when just slowly accelerating. Its under my extended warranty. I took it to the dealer and they have already replaced the valve cover gaskets and 3 coil packs. I replaced the plugs my self cause the dealer wanted 300 bucks to do it. Theyre saying now that the extended warranty wont pay for anymore coil packs unless the dealership changes out my plugs. They have also replaced the speed sensor and computer for the car. I get changed a 50 deductible everytime it goes in the shop. They replace 1 coil and send me on my way. The next day(or sometimes even the same day) it starts to skip again. They said it was the number 8 cylinder first then they replaced the number 6 monday and now replacing the number 4. I drove on the first cylinder skipping for about 3 months cause it was slight and no real loss of power. But its weird that as soon as I replace it another one goes out and then another one after I have that one fixed. Is there something theyre doing wrong or is this all a coincidence that they go out in a row as soon as they fix one?

Maybe it's skipping because it's happy? :lol:

Sorry you have spent money and time on this. The answer to why your LS and mine is skipping is the ethanol in the gas! You need to use to go to super premium the next time you fill the tank, and the skipping or hesitation will go away.

If that doesnt work your fuel injectors are probably clogged, put in a good fuel injector cleaner and the skipping will go away.
