Is there a remedy to this? This the key fob I literally have to wait like 5 seconds for the lock to click 3 times before the trunk will open. Had same issue on my old LS but it seemed faster.

weird, my trunk pops right open within a second of pressing the button.

by "the lock clicking 3 times" do you mean the trunk latch? does it also take that long if you press the release button on the dash?

I suppose the latch, what ever releases it. Whether one click on the remote or the dash button its slow as hell like I have to wait..

Have you tried lifting up on it right after you press the button?

id start by spraying some WD40 in to the latch to try to clean it out, then follow by re lubing it with some white lithium grease and see if that helps.

if not, Id meter the motor/solenoid wires and make sure its getting a full 12v when popping. if it is, you probably have a failing latch release motor.
