i set shift points to "firm" and now when your hard on the throttle its squeals a little when shifting. (not tires)
any ideas? i assume this isnt good, even though i have heard firm shifts are better for the tranny allowing less slippage.

mine started doing that recently, after a year of tuning it........i think its either the belt, tensioner, tensioner pulley, or the idler pulley, getting new pulleys and a new belt this week........see if it fixes it, i think its just one of the pulleys but im gonna replace everything, ive had a idler pulley go on me before and it made the same sound........

at what rpm is it doing it at? mine only does it at WOT 1-2 shift

I'd go with the belt idea too. Mine stock was making the belt chirp. Got a new belt and problem fixed.

same. i hope thats all it is. keep me updated!!

The SOHCs are notorious for chirping the belt on the 1-2 shift... probably what yours is doing.

mine has done this stock since i got it, without being tuned

i replaced the belt, tensioner, and pulley and it still does it sometimes.

i get a little chirp out of the belt onceevery while.....my tensioner is new and so is the belt

put a new belt, and the bearing on my idler pulley was going, you can hear it if you spin it, put a new idler pulley, the tensioner pulley was fine..........back to being quiet :)
