It did snow here on Christmas day but it was only about 3 or 4" but last night, it came down harder than it had since 1963, so they say. That was before my time.

so how much of the city was shut down.

All it takes around here is for the news broadcasters to say we have a possible 1" coming and all schools will shut down but something like this.... This city and Huntsville, AL. is pretty much shut down. We don't have the equipment here for snow like this except for gravel and salt mix trucks or sand trucks but they only do major intersections. No snow plows in my city at all.

Lol your mark is like "uhh… no."

I thought about taking it to an empty parking lot and doing donut videos lol.

Aww...just a little dusting

It was enough to cover my DTV dish and I had to go outside with a gallon jug of hot water and throw it up at the dish. Imagine what that looked like. :p The (couple of) nosy neighbors were looking at me like WTF  "He must really like his TV"

I had to make 9 trips before I finally hit it good but I managed. TV again. Other than that, I wished it would snow another foot or two. I lived in Fairbanks Alaska for 3 years so yeah, really this is a dusting compared to what I have seen before. 50 to 60 days of darkness sucks though. Up there, 3 to 5' was a dusting.

it might be a dustin in some eyes but in alabama thats alot, i mean come on this is the deep south wtf? louisiana, tennessee, mississippi, alabama, georgia, both carolina's and not an inch or 2, very odd for snow like this to come across the south. when we went to get my car this time last year and drove into that monster storm i loved seeing the snow again, and walking out in it, standing in the parking lot of the hotel with a coffee getting slammed with snow on my bald head , i just didnt want to drive in it!! i miss snow, i get sick of it real fast, but my son has never seen it, i would love to take him back up north and go sledding!! or take a trip on a snow mobile, i do miss them times! i love the way fresh snow makes everything look, your kid must like it terry, doesnt happen often. and as far as the 1963 last big snow fall being before your time, come on, how far before your time only a few years lol!

i agree as we speak thers ice and the city is somewhat shut down auto parts stores and some gas stations are shut down and my gf thinks she can drive in this i laugh and say this is dandriff compared to minnesota from where i moved from but go ahead and drive ans see how far u get when theres no snow plows or anything to clear the roads .... KK knows still experienceing it

I was born in 68 Jamie lol and you can just come here and stay a day or so and bring the kids instead of going north lol, I got an extra bedroom for you. This ain't going anywhere anytime soon. I have a hill to sled on out in the street. Cars can't even climb it.

Yes, my son has been out in it all day and he brought snowballs all in the house. He had it caked all in his shoes and everywhere else. Everywhere I walked in my socks, I was hitting a wet spot in the carpet.
