It's quasi Official as of right now.

Many of you know that I recently moved from Illinois to Central Colorado. This was to start my dream of becoming an architect, which I put off for way too long. Anyway, i'll cut to the chase. I work for a multi-national medical supply company here in the area, and as such I am open to oppertunities I would'nt have had in Illinois.

As soon as my associates is in my hand, I am moving to Mulhausen, Germany for the remainder of my college days. I'll have a job in thier main office over there while I am working on classes. The nice part about this is, the company is gonna pay for 85% of my tuition, and is gonna work with my schedule. This was'nt something I planned, but more kinda stubled into. I've wanted to try out the european life for a long time and this is my chance.

For those wondering what is gonna happen to the 95? I'm taking it with me so I can drive it on the autobahn every once in a while. It's gonna run me 1800 to have it shipped from Springfield illinois to a port in France. From there I'll drive it to Mulhausen, and park it for a while.

Everyone I talk to about this says I'm an idiot for taking it, because the public transportation system is so much better there. I know it is, but I KNOW I enjoy driving too much and would be missing the oppertunity of a life time not having it over there.

Anyway, figured you guys would like to know whats going on lately, as I have'nt been on much. Full time school, and full time work will do that. Take care guys.

Mike

Good luck with your career. And show the krauts what American muscle is all about on that AutoBahn! :gr_devil:

Mike you can still log on to LVC from Germany, you are part of this family!!!!!!!

mike, we will miss you around here. you a an awesome contributor to this site. good luck in the future!

I visit Siemens AG Medical in Erlangen every couple of years it is pretty nice!part of the world.

Take out your radio and take off any center caps and ship separately. I sold and shipped a T-Bird to Japan a few years ago -even in a supposed sealed container -the hubcaps, radio and air cleaner were stolen, not to mention they cut open the convertible top to get the radio.

Just stay away from France and those women with armpit hair. :yuck:

And absolutely take the car, but you're gonna need a blower if you want to hang with the big boys out there. Any kind of centri should do it.

So who said he's leaving the site. Just because he goes to Germany doesn't mean he can't off advice.

We're going to need some good Autobahn pics. Plus the first LvC International Meet in Germany will have to be held by Mike's Place.

I'm in..

Hopefully the only people I meet in France are the ones who sell me my gas, and the ones I blow by on the highway.

I know this already, and am working to get it taken care of. The car is already setup for a blower. The oil drain is already in the pan, and the structual mods have already been done, just gotta buy the kit. :)

Thanks guys

Mike

You have a good time over there, and be careful. Take car of yourself ya hear? Good luck to ya my friend I hope it all goes well for you.

MIKE !
It's not good by !!
But Have the best of luck over there and we will be waiting for pictures.:D

Via con Dios, Amigo. Take the car and the Truck. Perhaps a spin around the Autobahn would be enough to spark a LvC meet in Germany, say...oh around Octoberfest?
It was a pleasure to meet you in person. I wish you all the best.

Hey it's not like Mike is dying here. Maybe we won't see him at all the up coming meets. But I'm sure he'll still be posting. LOL...

Maybe I'm reading Mike wrong but I don't think he's Leaving LvC just the US for a about 2 years.....

More along the lines of 5-7 Rich. I'm not stopping till I have my masters.

Good luck Mike.

Please send us some photos when you get there. I'd like to see the Mark in Germany.

You might want to consider getting some stock gears for the Autobahn.:D

I know, I've got a base model pumpkin sitting on a shelf back in illinois waiting for it.

I'm starting to SERIOUSLY consider an engine like Jeremis, but lower compression, and a Kennebell.

If all goes according to plan, I won't have to have 4.10s to get her off the line, and will be able to pull well past 200 KPH over there. Brakes are another thing on the list to upgrade.

I want those 911's and M5's looking at the lincoln star as I pull away from them.

Best of luck to you Mike. I've enjoyed your posts very much and maybe someday after your return to the States we'll meet somewhere. Remember, tis better to follow your dream even if it goes awry than to have doubts for eternity. Caveman philosophy. Take care.

wow.... I'm bummed. Mike I will miss you, thank you for all the knowledge that you shared. oh, say hi to David Hasselhoff if you have the displeasure of seeing him, Lol!!! j/k. good luck man.

Oh...what the F!?!?!? I leave for a little while and all sorts of sh!t changes.

How far is your new home from the Ramstein/Kaiserslautern area. This brotha's tryin like hell to get stationed there. If and when I do the LS and the MK8 can be reunited.

Not sure how far it is, BUT, like a said before. I'll be up for a cross-country trip if thats what it takes. :D

Taking one for the team one day at a time.
