As some of you may remember, I bought a friend of mine a Mercedes SLR. Black with Gray interior, and had it delivered.

Here is a pic of the car I sent him. I had a friend of mine make a custom card, and I even threw in a spare key to one of mine's, for that perfect effect.

You didn't actually think I'd buy someone a real Mercedes SLR, did you?

To the guys who were in on it. Please, don't mention the person's name. If he wants to come out, that's fine. If he does not, I will post a video of his reaction to the car... With his permission, of course. :D

LMAO thats soo funny because i just did that to my girlfriend but with a 2010 camaro ss, she asked for it for christmas and she wasnt to happy to see a toy car in the drive way lol
 
lol this is great Frog... I got a good laugh and a great story to tell people cause when i tell that i got the keys to a Mercedes... they go "NO :q:q:q:q." then go oh when i say they dont work and I got a 1:18th scale SLR... it was all in good fun and I think you enjoyed your gift as well...
 
Ya know that is one expensive ass key! :lol: Last time I priced Benz keys I almost fell out of my chair. :eek:

my Grandmom did that to my grandfather back in 91 when he retired and wanted a cadillac.....she bought a shower caddy and was like here's your caddy (obviously since she didn't want him to buy a cadillac) I remember he was STEAMED....next day he went and bought a new cadillac :) hahahaha

the only time I would ever do this to a family member (especially a spouse) is if I bought the actual car as well... and have the person go through the entire day all pissed off and then have them go outside for something sometime mid day or evening and have the real thing sitting there

i remember when i turned 16 my parents got me a BMW Z4, yep ya just pull her back and voooommm there it went off the table. of course i had to buy my own car, and my brother and sister got theirs for nothing
 
Before I turned 16 I had been looking at new edge Mustang GT's. I wasn't expecting to be given one but when I looked outside on my 16th birthday there was a sexy black 04 GT convertible right in front of my house. I called my mom to see if she had any thing to do with it, she said she honestly had no idea. Turns out it was someone who was visiting a neighbor. :cool:
