i just got this 93 mark and i have a few questions.i ran the codes and got a few of them. problems with the car are,

-first start of the day it idles fine but it will hesitate when i hit the gas. its only does it for a very short time, by the time i am out of my sub division its fine.

-when idling in park (anytime) it as a very slight miss ,i can hear it from the exhaust.

-the trans also feels like it hesitates to down shift when coming to a stop.

-i have put 300 miles on it and 2 times the check engine light came on ,both on the highway. it would say on until i shut the car off. the car ran perfect even with the light.

the car runs and drives beautifully even with the codes. do you guys think any of these codes have anything to do with my problems?

176-Oxygen sensor not switching - system is or was lean Left or Front HO2S - Fuel control

214-Error in Cylinder ID (CID) circuit or signal - Ignition Systems

634-Park/Neutral Position (PNP) or Clutch Pedal Position (CPP) circuit fault Electronic shift transmission - Manual Lever Position (MLP) sensor out of range in Park-Transmissions

I would put in 2 new Motorcraft 02's. Look to the right and call Maxx or check rockauto.com and buy them. I know that 2 from rockauto.com are right at $100 and you'll have them in 2 days. Unplug battery while changing.

I think you need new plugs and wires and use Autolite 764's COPPER, gapped at .054

It also sounds like you need a new MLPS but again, it sounds like your 1-2 accumulator needs to be replaced with the updated version. Un plug battery while changing. Buy from Maxx or rockauto.com also and get OEM.

Once finished, then check for codes.

ok thanks, i was hoping to use that money to buy some new mufflers and get these horrible glasspacks off, o well.

BTW, the 10" wire works perfect for the 02's and I would go with Motorcraft but that's just me. As for the plugs, Autolite 764 copper is another thing I would suggest using. The rest of the stuff, go with what suits you. rockauto.com will send every bit of the stuff to you in 2 days. They also take PayPal.

ok, i will get the o2 and plugs/wires soon. i think i will hold off on the trans, it was low on fluid so i topped it off and that seems to have helped the problem. but i will keep my eye on it. thanks for the help.:)
