My Mark is having some weird issues with the transmission:
1) I have sort of sluggish power. Also on WOT the transmission shifts into 2nd at 5100RPMS (My 95 shift always at 6k RPMS). I am thinking that it's either a TB problem or a trans problem.

2) When I let go of the throttle after WOT, the car seems to delay it shift into 3rd (kind of like goes into neutral) then make a hard shift into OD.

3) The shift seem very hard to move (P,R,N,D) and sometime it will not go into gear unless I wiggle it or hear a click.

These are my suspections:
For #1 & #2
1) MLPS
2) TPS
3) Torque Converter
For #3
1) Shifter Cable

I checked my trans fluid and it was bright red and not burnt, and the trans shifts smooth with no problems under light throttle. I think the trans is getting old due to 192K on a suspected original tranny. What you guys think? Thakns

A bad TPS will make a Mark do some strange things. I would go ahead and put on a new MLPS also, just so you'll know that it is in fact good. It's just setting down there and wide open to all the elements of rain/water, heat, oil, if any leaks and they can just sometimes go bad. Like mentioned above, nothing wrong with the j-mod but again, not having it isn't your problem.

A bad TPS wouldn't make the shifter hard to change, "that I know of". If the cable has been in a bind or kinked somewhere, this should have started long ago I would think.
