Man, I just watched another episode of OVERHAULIN where they did up an old Vette. Simply beautiful. Chip Foose can steal my car and do a complete makeover. What they do with cars in a week is amazing.

Yea, it makes me wish I had not done so much work to my car already! They do some really cool stuff.

That was a good episode. Makes me want to buy another Corvette. I have had two in my life so far.
Did you watch Rides after that? Awsome SUV.

I watched the "rides" episode with great interest. Too bad they had that Titus guy on who I found really obnoxious. It was the whipple supercharger on an Expedition that caught my eye. Wonder why?

Too bad they didn't post a real dyno number, just Titus bench racing the thing. A stock 5.4 dyno'd 187rwhp and 200rwtq? Ouch! That shaker hood was pretty cool though.

Those numbers sound way to low for a Supercharged 5.4

Before the LS I had a 2002 F150 Supercrew Harley Davidson Edition which is supercharged from the factory. They have been dynoed stock with 330+ HP at the rear wheels and 400+ rwtq

It was a lot of fun to drive. I had a grin on my face every time I steped on it. Unfortunatly it was costing a lot of cash in gas as well

Hey 04,

In my post I wrote that it was a 'stock' 5.4 that they dyno'd and those were the numbers I posted.

Mr. Whipple himself was there to install the Whipplecharger, which is pretty cool in itself, having the man there. But I suspect the thing didn't put out the numbers they expected so they didn't show any other dyno numbers. Titus just hinted that he "thought" it was putting out something like 400-450 horsepower, without a tune even. So something smelled a little funny to me. I am very interested in a blower for my Expedition and had done some homework on the Whipple even, but now I am a little skeptical.

I have been trying to talk my friend into some Whipples for his 38ft Powerquest so we can run 100. So that little episode on TV might have cost 'ol Mr. Whipple 15K in sales.

I am not wild about that Titus guy either but the finished product was awesome, did anybody watch monster garage i know it was a rerun but i liked the way those old school guys worked on that 54 ford ( i believe it was a ford ) the way they used lead as a body filler instead of bondo now that was old school. :give :Beer :smilies-3

Sorry, I guess I did not read that properly. Take a look at the Forums on Ford Truck World below. You should be able to get some good info there on getting your Expedition Supercharged.

No problem 04LSSport. I do that all the time rushing thru threads. The point I was trying to make was that Whipple got some nice publicity on the install but it looks like they tried to shy away from the results. Maybe because of the install schedule or something. It was a great install and very cool custom. Thanks for the links. Now I have to spend another 30 hours of my life on the web reading pages. LOL.

i am really impressed by overhaul. the quality of the cars has been superb
