Edit: Actually. I think most of it is left open to interpretation. It did a really good job, and even added religion in for bonus points. What i got was about how the economy is what you make it, and it is blown out of proportion.
Thats why South Parks episodes are only worth watching once, but they're good that one time.

Actually, I think you missed the point. I'll try to keep it short:
It's that we're passing on all of this debt to future generations.
