hello all, i plan on buying a set of LS wheels, they are the silver 16 inch 5 spokes. will i need to run spacers? my goal is to lower the car so if theyre way tucked, thats ok but i dont want any rubbing. i tried searching but amazingly LS, wheels, and spacers are pretty common words on this forum lol

With those tires, you're going to lose 1/2" tire height vs stock 225/60/16.

I have a set of 17" LS wheels on my Cougar, need to run 5/16" spacers for the fat tires (255 wide) to clear suspension components. You may get away with not needing spacers due to the skinny rubber.

yeah i know the tires are a little smaller, im just strapped for cash and need a good set of tires for the winter time, not to mention my 10 spokes are heinous looking. do you think they would look way too tucked? also could you tuck your 255s? i may keep that size up front and beef up the back tires

What do you mean by 'tuck' my 255's? As in - under the fender? I have no issues with fender rub if that's what you're asking, it's also lowered.

Keep in mind that the Mark is a different car than the Cougar. Similar, but different. So I can't tell you 100% for sure they'll fit, although I suspect they'll fit fine.

Oh, winter tires in St. Louis - why?

I have those tires and rims on my Mark now with the spacers. They came with the car. I wont be keeping them. You want them? PM me.

i didnt mean winter tires, i mean my tires are shot and since winter is coming up i need a tire with some tread on it, lol

with the quarter inch spacers, do the weheels have enough room to clear the fenders if i were to lower the car?
