What are the sizes of the factory speakers?

Not to sound like a smart arse, but this has been discussed at length many times here.......could have done a search for it.......



They are all 5X7 by the way, unless you have the JBL system in, and then you will have 4 tweeters as well.:N

I'm planning a Mark audio makeover. The guy I'm dealing with is a audio genious when it come to car stereo systems. I'm planning on gutting the factory system. I waited a long time. Now that the factory amp is failing, and not evenly distributing the sound throughout the car, I going to splurge a little. Here's whats going to be done. First we are getting rid of the amp and the amp rack that holds it. Then we are going to build a custom case the length of the back trunk and come out about 18" in width. This case will house my cd changer, one 18" Infinity Subwoofer along with two Infinity Amps. A 4 channel and a 2 channel. In the front doors, I am going with 6 1/2 Infinity Component Speakers, and Infinity 5 X 7's in the back. I'm not planning to thump to the point that my licence plates rattle, but I do like to hear nice Jazz sounds. I'll post pics next week after it is all done. If anyone have pics of their custom system, please share them too.

an 18? id just go with 2 12's... maybe its just me but i only like the way 8's and 12's sound... if you want it to look better go with a Kicker solo baric 15 in the trunk connected to a 2500.1 kicker amp thats just me though im a kicker guy i guess :-D

Change that. I meant a 12" Infinity Subwoofer. 18" is actually too loud for me.

I was gonna say, an 18 probably wouldn't be too great for jazz. You would want something with a better frequency range. An 18 would catch some mighty lows.

Speakers are overrated. I have a midget in the trunk who sings various songs.

I know there are 5 x 7's all the way around. My installer was planning to make some plates to fit the 6.5's all the way around. The question came up would the 6.5's fit behind the door panel stock grill? Would it be sticking out a bit? What do you think?
