I'm still looking for my car, and may have found it!

I drove an 02 Premium today, 40k miles. Seems to be in immaculate condition.... it just has that vibe, ya know? That feeling that this is a solid, well-maintained car. So, I'm optimistic about what the mechanic will say.

Only thing is... it's a Premium. The other one I had looked at, the one that sold me on the LS, was a Sport. The handling was a huge part of the appeal.

I can tell a significant difference in handling between the two trims. This car is lovely, but it doesn't have that cool edgy feel that the Sport did.

So, here's my question:

This car is nicer. It's in better condition. It's lovely. Now, what would I need to do to get its suspension to the level of the the Sport trim?

thx

the premium have diffrent shocks. the sport I believe have Euro shocks...

I think there are 3 variety of shocks. Base, Sport and European in that order of stiffness. I am actually considering changing my Sport shocks out for the base versions for a slightly less harsh ride. I am not too concerned with the sporty handling that much.

Actually, the premium was a sport without SST, a "basket weave" seat cushion and with the chrome strips on the bumpers.

True, and the European valving was for the European market. Since the LS never made it to Europe.........

I have a premium and when a sport rolls up I look at it like its missing something. I like the sports but I'd get a prem over a sprt if the option is there and I did. I test drove both and really do not see much difference and I love the handling of my premium, while many others are slowing down to make that turn I am not :).

Nope; the Sports have Sport shocks. The Euro shocks were for the stillborn plan to sell the LS in Europe, so they weren't standard equipment on any of the models (AFAIK).
