Mine was idling rough only when I stopped at a sign or light. When I accelerated then it went away. I decided not to mess with it once the check engine light came on and I took it to the Lincoln dealer. They first changed the #3 coil but it was still not running right. It turned out to be the cylinder head. It took them about three weeks for the whole process. The car was a month out of warranty so all I had to pay was for the coil replacement and $500 while Lincoln picked up the rest, and I got a 30,000 mile warranty on the powertrain along with that $500. Otherwise it would have been about a $6,000 job. I think I had around 2 or 3 grand in just parts. I'm not sure if it is the same thing but best of luck.
