squeaky steering wheel

I've looked for this thread but couldn't find anything. My steering wheel has been squeaky every time I turn it lately. What could this be? 04 V8

Often, it is the rack or the intermediate shaft.

Meaning the steering rack needs to be replaced? Damn!! I was hoping it had to do with the fluid.

No, it does not always mean the rack has to be replaced.
