The other day I was driving around without my sub blaring and I noticed a squeaking noise sounding like an old bed spring to me. It happens when I go over bumps even the littlest own. the past couple days it's gotten louder , it's making the noise on both sides. I'm thinking it could be my shocks? But I'm not sure. I have video of the noise but since Its on my iPhone I don't see where I could show you guys. But any help would be great. Thanks !

Upper Control Arm, could be lowers and you mind want to check the rest of the works back there, this can be done by crawling underneath it and looking at the rubber boots. They will most likely be torn and blown out. They get old and give out. There are also some Stabilizer sway bar bushing mounts back up underneath the fuel tank, however those are usually fine and tend to last the longest, I would look at your Control Arms, Sway Bar End and Toe Linkages. Probably all dried out and torn.

You can jack the rear up one side at a time, grab the wheel at both 12-6 and 9-3clock positions and check for play.
You can also stick your head under the back of each wheel and have another person bounce the rear of the car. just pushing slightly on the rear fender at each side to get a slight rocking motion going should reveal to you underneath where the sound is coming from.

Myself, I'm convinced you need new control arms.

some Torque Specs for the hardware back there.

I normally would recommend Tasca autoparts but they f*cked me over by sending me one OEM and one off-brand in a re-stapled OEM box on my control arm order.

* when I buy a pair of socks, I like them to be the same, not different!

Rockauto? look for OEM options, JAG is compatible.
(as a matter of fact, you order Lincoln Ford OEM it'll be stamped JAGUAR, least one of mine was)

be sure that's the 'noisy' part though!
