So this 97 is now good to drive! My first night to work & I notice right off the bat the steering wheel is wanting sit a 2 o'clock so Im over compensating by constantly leaning it to the left (lil scary). So I am also listening to the car and I can hear on the front right hand side (above the tire possibly IDK) that theres a lil sqeeking goin' on. I think its tire/hub related as sqeeking gets faster as I drive faster. Not only this but when I crank the wheel ALL the way to the right or left there's vibration/small clunking. All I can think about is the spare on the front right hand side was completely worn when I got to it. So Im thinking new hub and alignment? I also know the power steering fluid needs to be changed, any fluid recommendations? Thanks in advance guys.

You can use mercon v for the power steering fluid. It's the same fluid to use in the transmission.

Sounds like it needs control arms (because just doing the ball joint on these is a waste )

I guess I missed it. What happened to cause all this grief? Last month the only problem was your dented door. I've been a hermit, sorry.

somebody at my work told me it sounds like the power steering pump? And that his car does it too but IK he's no mark VIII owner. I mean everything feels great till I get an inch or 2 to its turning limit right or left. And thanks for your concern Dave my man, but the sound of this fresh DOHC has it hard for me to be sad lol. And the V8/exhaust sound is WAY throatier then I imagined. Those youtube videos really dont do it justice.:headbang:
