Still a tire noob

Ok so I'm looking at some 18" rims 8" wide.

I've found nice tires 225 45 18

Will they fit and be ok? I'm having a hell of a time with online calculators... and a formula provided in an earlier post isn't working out for me at all.

FWIW, I've had 245-45/18s on mine since it was a couple of years old. It's an '02.

In case the intent of my reply didn't come across, I've had slightly wider tires on my LS than you reference for more than ten years. Actually, that's several sets since they tend to last about 35K miles before needing replacement. I use Michelin Pilot P2s in the aforementioned size.

the biggest issue, is making sure the offset is correct.
