The car is a 2000 LS with a non-alpline system.
I was testing to see if there was a current draw from my radio causing my battery to drain. As I was testing the prongs(external CD player) I touched the powered one with another one causing sparks, resulting in a non-working radio. I thought I may have just blown the fuse but the fuse is good and there is power to the fuse.

I didn't smell anything burning when it happened. My first thought is I fried the radio some how but was wondering if something could have happened inside the radio? Is there a fuse or something inside the radio?
Thanks

i was messing with my system and did the same, fried the amp, and my hu. i thought i was screwed but after a while it came back on. really strange. cross your fingers that this will happen to you.

man your going through some bad luck with your car.

i would check the wires for the correct signals. 12v and grounds. if your signals to the unit are bad, i would guess that you fried the hu.

good luck

There could be more than one fuse that deals with the radio. In fact, I'm just about sure there is. Look at all the fuse boxes in the car. Your owner's manual should explain what fuse deals with what circuits.

Things couldn't be going better for me now adays:rolleyes: .

I don't know how I over looked this but it was just a fuse. I looked at fuse #2 and fuse #27 yesturday and they were okay. I looked in the manual this morning and there is yet another fuse #18 which was blown.
Thanks for your help guys.
