My son recently lost his wheel key and now has a flat does anyone now of a cheap place to get a replacement...it's a gen one 93.
Thanks,
Tim

that or beat a 22mm socket over it (usually a 22 will fit around the outside of the stock ford locknut) and spin it off

When I broke mine I just brought the car to the Ford dealer and they tried their set of keys untill they found the right pattern. Was $22.

that is if they have a key for a 17 year old car. when i worked at the dealer, it wasn't worth looking for the few random keys we had left in the kit, i would hammer a 22 over it and zip it right off

When I bought my 94 back in 05, I used a 4 way and beat one end of it over the locking lug and it spun right off. Before it comes off the threads, you have to wiggle it off the lock and then do the rest by hand. Had 4 off in 10 min or less. No cost!

i always loved when people would come into the dealer and see me remove those damn things, and their jaw would hit the floor. i guess they were shocked how easy anyone could remove the "locks" if they really wanted to

I've had to do that a couple times, but I have a policy of not destroying my tools

bah wtf good is a 22mm anyway lol, no i got a old craftsman 22 that finally split after quite a few years, went to sears and said "i dunno it just snapped" (in half lolol) got a new one for free :D

Try snapping a 4-way lug wrench. :D I never used that big side anyway and then I went back with all normal lug nuts. When Jamie sold me the 95, he admitted that he wanted to swap lug nuts before I got it. He forgot and I have 20 damn good lug nuts. If I have to lock a silver 10 spoke, something is wrong.
If they want the rim bad enough, lock or not, it can be taken. I just want them to turn the air ride off first before jacking it up.:p
