Own a Lincoln LS, 2006. 132,000 miles.
Has been running great for the past several years. No problems or major repairs.

However, yesterday I was just driving down the road and the engine just STOPPED DEAD. All dash lights (oil, battery, engine) came on red. The engine just Stopped. I waited a few minutes in heavy traffic and in major panic mode. Tried to start the car. Car started just like nothing ever happen. Drove about four mile and engine STOPPED DEAD again. A few minutes later, I started the car and drove about five miles, then it happen again.

The engine just stutters one or twice for no more that a second and just STOPS.
LS is not hot, not overheating, just changed oil over the week end. No noise from the engine compartment.

Anyone have an idea what and where I should check?

An easy first check is to unplug the connector to the MAF sensor. If that stops the stalling, there's a good chance the problem is there.

Maybe a relay is getting hot and shutting down. Ignition relay... fuel pump relay... any one of multiple relays that would kill the engine when the relay gets hot.
