Hey, tried searching the forums for this issue and found a couple others that have experienced it as well, but no solution to the problem was posted.

So my LS decided to randomly start throwing me this passenger door ajar error whenever I turn on the heater/ac in my car and goes away as soon as I turn off the system.

I checked all the fuses and they look fine.

If anybody has any experience with this issue or has an idea of what it might be, your information would be greatly appreciated!

Year?
Front passenger? If so, check the ground connections behind the passenger kick panel.

V8. So is that the common ground that both systems use behind the kick panel?

It's possible.
The 2nd gen message center tells you which door (unless I am imagining this). Are you sure yours doesn't. Press "status", and it should go door by door.

I haven't tried the status button, I'll go do that now and let you know what it says.

So it is the front passenger door. When I try and turn on the heat, I can hear the fans, vents or whatever in the dashboard act like they're getting ready to spewing out air, also the engine sounds like it goes up in rpms for a brief second, then the passenger door ajar warning.
I'm not sure if any of that information is helpful or not.

It sounds like it could be a ground interaction. The blower motor, PCM, and front passenger door connections are all in the same general area. Look at the grounds behind the passenger kick panel and maybe just behind the carpet there too. My guess is that one may be a little loose or corroded, but it is just a guess.

Alright, well I'll have someone smarter than me check it out and I'll let you know what we come up with!

And if you have a sunroof... the drain tube on the passenger front side may have come loose. This could possibly cause corrosion on the ground connections Joe mentioned at the passenger front kick panel.
