Hey guys and gals. I searched the posts and could not find anything like my problem. When I first use the car after it has been sitting overnight or at least 4 hours I get a rather noticable grinding noise from the rear (louder when the rear seats are down) Thinking it was the breaks I had them replaced. No change. The noise happens ONLY when the breaks are depressed, and goes away after 5-10 stops or about 10 minutes. Any thoughts?? No noise under acceleration or turning and I cleaned all the dirt etc from the spare tire well.

Mine does this too only not quite a long as your does. It seems to me that after the car sits overnight, dew causes the rotors to get some light surface rust. Once I hit the brakes once or twice the rust is removed and I don't have any more problems.

Car info, sorry!! 2002 LS V8 Sport 36K miles. I thought about surface rust on rotors too, but even when I leave work at about 5PM (if I am lucky) it does it. I actually checked for surface rust before leaving from work before.
