First off, sorry for posting this I searched but I am short on time, as I need to get this done in two days before I leave for school. Thanks for your help.

I have a single twelve inch sub/amp I am going to put in the trunk. My car is 01 LS V6 with the cheaper stereo, all I have is four door speakers which I have already replaced. I do not have the stock subs or deck speakers. I have to keep my stock radio for now.

Links or directions on how to install the sub and amp. Plus wiring diagram for the radio. I did this in my 300zx and had no problem. I bought a skosche adapter that I wired into the stock head unit which had RCA outs on it and then I just ran wires to the trunk. Is it that simple? Please give me all info as I am short on time.

THANKS, sorry for posting......................

I have an "05 with the base stereo and I have my 200 watt amp and subwoofer from my T-bird I'm selling. I thought I'd need a new stereo to hook them up but that would be great if they would work with the factory stereo.

I was going to pull out the Pioneer 6X8's from the 'Bird and put them in the LS but I think the speakers in the Lincoln sound better.

i installed my amp with my factory cd unit in my 05. bought a ford wiring kit and connected four wires...remote, ground, left speaker, right speaker..... it was kind of a b1tch. remote and av wires run to the trunk. i just used electric tape and spliced quite a bit. had to get back behind the head unit a bunch of times. its pretty easy though. that is the hardest part. then you run the amp to the battery terminal and to the ground in the trunk where the battery is grounded. now pushing a 15" sub with just 250 watts. sounds great.

that one way of doing it but you will also need a remote to turn the amp on.
you can also open the trunk pull down the cover on the top of the trunk look up and to the left for the harness to the factory subs and just solder a set of rca's on to the signal wires(works real well since the crossovers are in the fact radio) then you can use an acc wire for amp turn on(ignition harness, fuse box, or behind radio)

oh yeah... i had to buy a converter at circuit city because factory doesnt have sub out. the rcas hook up to that.

go to any radio shop ask for a "10:1 reduction output adaptar" then you can either run it to your door speakers which is a pain or run it to the radio itself then hook it to the speaker wires and hook your remote wire to the yellow with green striped wire and your done. After you hook everything else up lol.
