Sub Help?

Hi Everyone, Im new to this forum. I've spent alot of time over at crownvic.net and now with my recent aquisition of a 94 Conny I found you guys.

And now to the question, I got this Alpine amp from a friend. I don't know how to go about finding out if it works. heres some pictures.

Oh yeah the Amp is an 6492gx real small.

Are you asking how to hook it up?

Yes by looking aat it i can't figure which wires to use. theirs wires in the harness and then two that come out the front that marked as what i think in positive and negative

note: these are really guesses i'm not sure as i've never really dealt with this specific amp.


*2 grey + 2 white wires: rear high level input from head unit(stock head)
1 pair for right 1 for left
*blue: remote from head unit(turns on amp when radio is on)
*+ and -(on front): out to sub
*red and white tipped: rear low level signal from head(aftermarket head)
*black: to ground

Is there a wire broken off by where the blue and black come from there? looks kinda like it. if so it should be a wire to +12V

Yes on the harness the end 2 slots apear to have had another wire coming from them.
