Im looking for a flip out dvd player for my LS and I need help finding a good one that isn't more than $600 new.

what do you guys think of these, also if you know of any other systems let me know thanks

they are both junk. You really do get what you pay for with electronics. Spend just a little more money (an extra $200 or less) and you will get a product that you will be happy with and that will last you for several years.

forget the sony, their stuff is terrible in car audio, clarion has great sound processers, but if you arent an audiofile then you probably wont use them. are you gonna be using an ipod? navigation? mostly watching movies? it depends on what you want to do with the unit to decide what one to pick.

yea I might just spend the extra bucks....and I will mostly be using it with my iPod and maybe gps

If you looking to spend around $600 on a dvd unit, its gonna be hard. Best thing to do would be to save up a little more and get a better unit like the others said. But if you really want one, just go with the pioneer 5700. Not that bad of a unit just has a couple of downfalls like the fact that when the screen is closed, there is no outside display. As for a dvd/nav unit, doesn't look like you will get one for anything close to $600. The cheapest are probably around $1000

If you buy a $600 unit thats exactly what you get, a $600 unit. I have installed both of those and they are both a POS. If you want something to play DVD's and not much else then get a jensen. If you want a quality deck, just hold off and get something that will last a few years. Pioneer, eclipse, kenwood, all pretty good.

It's not just their car products. I have no idea what's going on with that company...but it's not good.
