Sullivan Intake Manifold

you have to use their fuel rails, relocate the alternator and use their water crossover tube, some other intake tube, iac, buy their intake elbow, not to mention C heads..

other than that, its a bolt on :D

they are working on a B headed intake as well. something closer to a Cobra R style intake for our heads. or so thats the "rumor" from sullivan..

get that intake manifold with a Vortech 9psi s/c, and some 3'' exhaust and you, my friend, and in the 10's :D

yeah, i was reading about that about a month or so ago...its not for the everyday driver. It says that the sullivan takes over where the stock intakes give up, 7000+rpm. Unless you do a bit of rebuilding...theres no point to it. Oh yea, also youd need a taller hood.

That stuff is for forced induction applications. On an n/a motor, you'd actually lose low end power. Sullivan has some kick-ass stuff. They were going to make some stuff for B-Heads, but decided that there is no market for them...

if you plan to run your motor up to the 7k range, plan to buy a new tranny. These 4R's are good to about 6500, and the torque converters(stock) to about 6400

Oh, and the "hood" thing too.

nice looking intake, but for a Mark VIII...I wouldnt even bother with the add-on...too much involved, where you can spend the money elsewhere and gain just as much(if not more).

slap a 3200 stall, and a set of 4.30's with trac-loc, and you'll think you died and went to heaven in a Mark VIII!

thanks craig!

for what? Did I dark cloud your idea?

heh heh

dont get me wrong...it's a bad-a$$ intake, but it would be better served on a Cobra, with plenty of need for 7000 rpms, and more hood clearance.

I would rather pop my hood and see the KInsler IR injection set up!

lol no you did not mess up my idea. i read what you said about running the motor to 7k, and is probably not good for our trannies! there for i said thanks... ha!

i can attest to that!! On tranny #3 in 22k!

So hopefully that's clear for everyone. The long awaited Sullivan works on 4V 4.6 engines, just not 'B' headed 4V, 4.6 engines.:Bang
