I attended another car show this weekend. It was a 3 day show and is one of the biggest in the Northeast. There were 5700 registered cars that were all judged under the same class. Very tough competition and a modern car never wins a trophy. That was true but not anymore. They gave away the same trophy to the top 25 cars in the show and I was one of them. It was a proud moment for the LS and I was amazed at how well the car went over at a classic show. I got a few weird looks and comments but it was a good weekend.

My setup

This guy didn't win. I think it was too over the top.

Winners Field. See the classics behind me.

This was by far the toughest show I have ever been in. It was a great day for the LS and a good weekend for gaining some respect for the LS and all modern cars.

good job at the show man! I didn't read back up on what happened with your car....did you just repaint it the same color?

How did that yellow truck NOT win anything?! That bed looks like something straight out of "Pimp My Ride." I thought the whole point of car shows was to show off pointless mods... :\

Kept the paint the same. I love the color.

Already thinking about reverse suiciding the rear doors, removing the handles and 2-tone paint.

Probably won't happen till the end of the year but it will get done.

I guess you have never been to a car show. The truck was overdone, it's not about pointless mods or throwing 100 grand in your car. It is about combining your car with some original ideas that appeal to a broad range of people. The guy had the TV blasting and it kept alot of people away.

I don't even play my stereo unless asked to. Keeps too many people away.

Nice car and show performance. Wouldnt reverse suiciding the rear doors make them remain stock?

I'm a dumbass. I meant suiciding the back doors.

Sweet. That is something I considered, but I would want to retain the door handles, only move the rears to the front of the back door.

BIG CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!

I guess you and I will be racing to see who gets them done first. I was going to two-tone mine. BUT I got a better idea. Something more along the lines of a classic Lincoln.:D I am planning on fiberglassing in the trunk this winter and adding some monitors in the backseat.

Showing at a car show is like going to your inlaws for dinner. Your seen NOT heard and you don't matter till its time to clean up.:)

ya, i never have my system on in a show.. especially concidering that too much air space will blow ur speakers..

Did you get a chance to pass my info along to the company that makes the suicide hinges?

how did you paint the radiator sight shield?

It is a spray by black magic that washes right off once you don't want it anymore. It looks alot better than plain black.

Home Depot. There is a post on here somewhere by BanginLS on how to do it.

It is one of the most popular things on the car at shows. It is amazing how something so cheap and simple gets that much attention.

^^^^

I know what u mean... have u thought about going verticle with the trunk just like u did with the doors? i left mine at an angle.. plus it was much easier.. lol..

Well duh, Miami is like 70% Hispanic... what do you expect? There are always going to be exceptions to the norm. Just like being 18 and owning an LS doesn't change the fact that Lincoln is geared toward the 50+ crowd.

actually.. thats someone who milks cows.. i'm going to keep comments to myself.. this one is just too easy to comment on.. lmao
