What's up people. Anybody know a company that installs sunroofs/moonroofs in the San Diego area? Do you guys think it's a good idea to have one or will it just be another problem??? Thanks!

I don't know about getting it done after market, but as for a sunroof I love mine. This was my first car with one, and I will never buy another car without one (unless it's a convertable or a T-top). Do it!

ive heard good and bad, all depends on the company and if its a repitable company. If i were u id get 2 a regular one up front and a pop up in the back, that would be hot

Call the service manager at Witt in Mission Valley (used to be Scott Witt) and ask him who they sub for the moonroof. IIRC, it's ASC. Our 2001 had an ASC moonroof and it worked just fine. You won't have the same functions as the stock roof (like global up/down), but it didn't leak. It did make more wind noise than the stock hole our '06 has.

Yeah the service manager @ witt is still scott give him a call he is a real nice guy. He should be abe to send you in the right direction. A little off subject but are you two in the area planning on attending the meet in march??

I work that day but I can see if I can swap. What's really going on that day as for plans? I know it's going to be at J Street Marina. I live like 5 mins. away.

Had one installed on a mustang in 99 never had any leaks or any problem....there are different styles....we went with the factory style where the glass went back into the roof.....just make sure they warranty there work....IM getting one soon....but I live in Orlando FL

I was looking at getting an ASC but didn't really like the trim on the inside of the car. Can you post a pic so I can get a better idea of how it actually looks? Thanks!

Ya imo as long as they give you a warranty for their work i would do it. Its a really nice thing to have and if you have a warranty you dont have to worry.

Pretty much meetup at the place look at all the cars compare...ya know the normal stuff then maybe go for a cruise, One guy thought we could drive by the silver strand, then probably grab a bite to eat take some pics/video and then be on our way. We only had four guys last time and we spent a few hours just checking out everyone different little setups and stuff and talked about what we plan on doing in the future. For an example after last time I ended up getting a different set of wheels because I saw mikedeezys in person and absolutly loved them. So I mean I think it will be cool just to see everyones different ideas on the car. Sorry to hijack the post

I would but the car was traded-in on the '06. With the exception of the controls, the rest of the install looked pretty darn good. Unless you had a side by side comparison, I don't think you could tell the difference.

Do a google search for moonroofs. I wish I could remember the name, but you will come up with the Ford OEM supplier. They have a factory in Europe too that will help you find out who they are. There is a company here in Phoenix that installs them with extremely positive results. I had one in my old Mark VIII that was absolutely perfect. It also had some very nice features the OEM didn't include...like when you shut the car off, it automatically closes the roof.

Mine was installed by ASC. The only complaint is the when I go through a car wash and it has a blower aimed at the top of the car. It pushes the rear of the sunroof down with so much pressure. I have to push up on the back of the glass.
