I'm new to the forum and i've been reading your posts and truly i'm impressed. I have a slight problem with my v8 LS which i purchased with 68k in the summer. 6 weeks after the purchase, the LS started heating to MAX and the engine power reduced a couple of times. I noticed i was losing coolant right below the driver side. I took it to my mechanic and he easily solve the problem by replacing the coolant container which for some unknown reason was dumping out the coolant as it comes back from the engine. But ever since that problem was fixed the LS started hesitating when switching gears between 50-60mph. It drives fine till i hit 50mph then it would just sputter around till i go hard on the gas to get it above 60mph then the ride gets very smooth. I notice the problem gets worse as the engine heats up and i usually don't notice it in the first 10 minutes of my morning drive. I've heard some LS had this problem and could be fixed by replacing the ignition coils, the valve cover gasket or just the sparks. Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this? i've also found another V6 LS which i want to purchase but it was rear ended. The damage limits to to the rear bumber and reiforcement but i wonder if there could be any hidden problems that could pop up later. I drove it Saturday and it's driving fine and also switching gears normaly but i wasn't able to bring over 70mph. Thanks!
