While I am waiting to hear back from my Insurance company on the fate of my Deer Damaged 94 Mark VIII, I've been doing some looking around incase I decide to part out my 94 and get a different one.

One that I have looked at has a tach that is stuck The Tach stays at 4K RPMs.

What might be causing this or what would be the fix?

Usually what happens is that the glue that holds the gauge face in place looses its adhesion and the face itself seperates from the gauge pod. Thus causing the needle to stick because the gauge face comes in contact with the needle.

To fix it, you have to remove the gauge cluster. Pull the needle. Pull the gauge face off of the gauge pod, and reglue the gauge face back to the gauge pod.

Hope that helps mang......

Sorry dude, but in this instance you would be wrong.....at least for the past couple of weeks that is. I have been working for about 2 weeks now. If you notice, I am only posting late at night, or VERY early in the morning.....not all freakin day....LOL. I work nights from 8PM to 4AM. :Beer

Did this work?

I was wondering did this Tach fix work for anyone who tried it? I am planning on attempting it next Sunday, but I wanted to know first if all that it needed was a little glue was a true statement. Either way I'll post if it works or not as soon as I try.
