I did a search on the forum on this question but came up empty handed. Maybe I didn't ask the right question.

I have a 2002 LS with the LINCOLN and LS letters on the tail lens. Has anyone successfully removed the LINCOLN and LS letters from these tail lens? If so, what was the procedure and were you able to remove the glue residue and not damage the lens?

Thanks for any advice.

heat it up with a hair dryer and they peel right off. I took all the lettering off my 04 and put them back on this weekend. The back looks too plain w/o the lettering.

Yeah I took mine off, put them right back on, I didn't like the plain look. And since my car is stock no one can really tell its a v8 without the decals :)

But yeah either heat them up, or take fishing line and run down through them, thats what I did. A combination of both of those should probably work pretty well.

I removed mine, plus all other badges.. I like the clean look.. If only I could afford to shave the door handles..

get a fish string and slide it behind the letters.. then get goo gone and clean off the residue left over..

they are glued on with double sided tape..

Guys,

A belated thank you for your advice. I have been off-line this week.

This is a great site for information.
