OK brother Marks, I need to replace the rear decklid lamp ballast the thing that causes the brake lights to work not the whole reflector strip on the trunk just the ballast. I've already removed it from the trunk. The dealer says the part is obsolete and discontinued at this time.....any valid suggestions?????

Make sure you have a good ground, before wasting money. The ballast show up everynow and again on eBay and you can often get a response here in LVC forum.

Thanks for the quick getbck, the dealer said their was a short in the ballast, and it was blowing fuses and you know how dependable they are..................rrrrrrrright.

That is one of the things that Lms should look into selling, they could some good money. I have seen about 7 around my area marks and about 4 of them have this problem including myself.

Hmm... "Tail taillights not working?"

...as opposed to "front taillights not working?"

;-) Sorry, couldn't resist.

Hey Iszi not that I need to explain, but it was a typo and I knew it but I could 'nt correct it w/o going all the way out and staring over, so buzz off.

I replaced my inverter with a glitch and still did not get the light to work. Did all the trouble shoots, checked electricity, fuses, etc. and everything passed. I decided to cut the light open and found that my neon tube was cracked. I hard wired water proof LED strip lights running across the light. It produces a very bright glow, but with stripes. In any event, I hope this option helps when all else has failed.
