I had to replace the pass. side brake light bulb, but as I took it out the plastic harness were the bulb is mounted crumbled since it was dry rotted from the heat of the bulb, anyways I went to autozone and bout a new harness for the light, I cut the old one off, and wired the new one in, and it works fine, but when I turn on my headlights and I push the pedal the check bulb light turns on the dash, and goes off when I let go of the brake pedal, so I step on the brake, check bulb light turns on, I let go, and it comes off. Any ideas?

I have 2 questions for you. Did you wire it up wrong? How did you wire it (did you solder it together, heat shrink it, etc). Could be some wires rubbing together too, but more than likely, if this didn't happen before the job you did, than it is a result of the job you did.

yea you prolly wired 'em wrong. no biggie. take it back apart along with the other side and compare. also make sure you used the right socket. and Id use heat shrink tubing when you confirm what went wrong. shouldnt be a big fix tho.

remember - the LS uses a negative switched network - meaning that most things have 12v to them and the ground is completed when switched. This can be confusing when troubleshooting - using a volt meter can mis-lead you to believing which side is switched.

OK, 4 hours later finally got it right...1st the fuse was out, but I didnt even know were to start looking, then I remembered the manual here in the website, I checked and bingo, it was fuse #7 on the rear Fuse (trunk) Box, replaced it, now the lights turned on when I braked, but also the other small little lights were on when I braked and the bad side looked and funky, then I rewired everything correctly and fixed the problem, so my cousin is to blame here, he was the one who wired the new harness and messed it up, so the problems were a bad fuse, and bad wiring. Thanks for all your help ppl ;D

Ahhhh.....the ol' blame it on the cousin trick!! I gotta brother-in-law like that....
