Hi everyone , I would like to know if any business owners , home owners or well anyone uses Tattletale alarm systems ? We have a few young adults in the neighborhood on some serious drugs. Its directly across the street from my shop. They have broke into our place three times this past week. Last Friday they stole almost all out semi/ dump truck batteries. So we replaced them excluding a few 24 V spares left behind. And parked our trucks right infront of the cameras we have. Well this past Friday they did it again ! We gave the videos to the cops and they knew who the people were and said they were just put in jail for bad checks on Wed. And he was pretty pissed. So its Sunday all is quiet. Of course no batteries there to steal so we figure There's not much to worrie about. 10:00 PM , ADT calls with alarm 1 going off. These guys took a pry bar and tried to break the weld on the door. When unsuccessful they busted off the masterlock pad lock. Kicked down the inside office door and destroyed the office. Opened all file cabinets ?? Who knows why ! And took 12 nail guns that our guys need. We put them into the office at night cause 6 months ago they busted into the shop and trailer docking area and stole all the stanly. And Bosch nail guns we were renting. We've had enough and since I can't shoot them we need a better alarm. I would like to hear some opinions from you guys. Btw I'm on the hunt for two bull mastiffs for guard dogs as well.
 
Back when I rented an apartment, I had these two marines next door. They would wait for my laundry in the dryer to go off and they would steal my clothes. After the second time, I sat on top of the washer with my pistol grip shotgun. The buzzer went off and they walked into the laundry room and I racked that fu<ker back on em. They moved out two months later.
 
I would hide out inside some where with my gun and a ditchstole(unregistered firearm) when they break in call 911 and while you are on the phone tell them to drop the gun and then shoot them and put the ditchstole in their hands. Just make sure they are inside the building.
 
Just a small piece of info for you. These guys are on heroine and totally ruthless without out a care. And I did get a concealed carry permit just this past Saturday. Unfortunately I can't shoot someone to protect my property. Also you don't have to wait for them to be in your residence in Ohio. If they are breaking into your place you can shoot them. But that is only the law. I'm not willing to loose my company and home AND. My lovely 06 LS! over a Civil. Lawsuit. Even though I can prove that the value of stolen batteries and nail guns is worth More than their lives are worth ! For sure.
 
I would shoot them and put a knife or a gun in their hands for sure. The cops are not gonna give a chit about some junkies. If you don't want to murder them, here is what you should do. You can go to a HVAC supply store and get these huge zipties for flex duct. Wait inside the business til they break in and hold them at gun point, put the zipties on them and wait for the cops. They will probably have dope on them, or at the least their works. That is three felonies right there and they won't have bail money cuz their dopefiends. I know them well. I was stabbed by one over 20 bucks. He was so weak from being dope sick that he couldn't pull the knife back out of me to stab me again.
 
I actually have huge zip ties about 2ft long and half inch wide. I use them to keep my hydraulic hoses from laying on the conveyor belts. Oohh how tempting torture would be if we did that. But you know , the sheriff said he was just in jail wed. And was on house arrest. But they won't keep this guy in jail and its getting to the point where my guys (employees) feel like they have had enough. Once they've had it , there will be a stake out. I have 11 wonderful guys who work for me and I know that when the going gets tough I can count on them to be there. I'm thankful for my crew ! I can't let it go that far. I can talk all I want but I risk loosing a lot over a POS addict. I'm awaiting a meeting with Tattletale tomorrow afternoon. I have talked with a few other owners in the area and plan to go to a sand and gravel company and limestone company tomorrow. The Sheriff said he knows they both recently purchased Tattletale. Caught the thieves and haven't had problems sence. So I hope it works. If not I might have to sell the company for a day to an employee then buy it back after the scum is removed lol !
 
I see no problems with you detaining them after they break-in and waiting for the cops. Citizens arrest and what not. But seriously, as long as they are armed and dead, who is gonna say that you planned their demise. I would not spend more money on a problem that has already cost so much. Just get the zipties and cuff em and stuff em til the cops show up.
 
I just don't see the county jail keeping him for longer that a day or so. Even if we do press charges. I also don't think that us catching him and holding him will deter him from returning for easy $ hence two or three mastiffs. I really don't think that tattletale will deter them or him. We just decided that a silent alarm and something we can view away from our shop is beneficial. Ill tell you what I would like to do , is catch his butt and tie him up to a chair, get even resivor dogs style ! That would do me justice.
 
Do you know if they're carrying? If not the idea of putting some people inside with paintball guns sounds promising. The only problem is retaliation...
 
Ooohh jolinc. I like that. We have two or three guns there somewhere haha ! But I don't know if they carry or not. I don't know them personally. I've seen them around the neighborhood when I'm driving to get parts or run errands at work. I don't live around there. Thankfully. Its just soo frustrating that they are getting away with stuff like this over and over and there's basically nothing we can do about it without spending a bunch of money that we don't have much of.

Junkies don't have guns. They would sell them to buy dope. And to the OP if they got them on breaking and entering, destruction of property, and could get them to admit to the other break-ins, they aint getting out in a day. Felonies do not have I-bonds, they would have to post around $2500 to walk out on bail.
 
When they broke in Sunday they dropped a cell phone in the parking lot. The cops found it. Good thing to. Now they can't say we planted it or anything. But I'm crossing fingers that they trace it pack to whom ever I can prosecute. Then it will be class 1 B&E and destruction. Ill post something when I hear back from the detective.
 
Your tellin me ! Would anyone like to volunteer ?! Do you have to be registered or something to be an armored security guard ? Can I just go to party depo and pick up a security guard costume then shoot them ?! Tell the cops I work for Jus shoot em Security Co. INC. Lol.
