TC broken into...

Nyssa's car was broken into yesturday, Nyssa is fine, but the car has a few problems now. I have told her to call her insurance company immediately. I am not sure but I beleive with break ins or vandalism they cover the car without raising the insurance rate. They broke into the trunk, and pushed down the back window to get into the car. In the process they scratched up the paint on the trunk, and for some reason her interior lights won't shut off. They must have done something to the car to cause this.

I am going to her place tomorrow to take a look at it. I can't beleive this happened people are such idiots. They did'nt steal anything except some hair spray and some perfume she had in the car.

It's an 88 TC. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. People are idiots!! :soapbox: All that really matters is that she is okay.

Yes, there are updates. Insurance company has agreed to cover the damages if the electrical damage and paint damage reach $500. So far the paint on the trunk is estimated at $200, we don't know about the electrical yet. More updates coming soon.

yes.... i would appreciate that something actually got done with my car, but i would still like a cheap deal... i suppose i'll squeeze the penny till the end.... unless it involves getting rid of my car.....

i just realized that my car was broken into exactly one month after my birthday.... how suckky.

anyhoo... i'm scheduled to go in for an estimate at the lincoln dealer for my electrical issue today.... maybe i'll take it around to a few other places since i'll have the battery connected....

they didn't break into my trunk.... they just keyed the :q :q :q :q out of it. if they had broken into the trunk i probably wouldn't have a radio anymore...
just another reason not to park infront of a building with broken and boarded up windows.....
and another reason why you should pay the $8 to park the car in the lot around the block.....
all lessons to be learned i suppose....

i took it to the dealer for an estimate and they said it was some switch so they just fixed it. they also said something about the battery being low and battery cables....i was on a cell phone on the train... i couldn't really hear but i told them to fix everything.... so i suppose no insurance payouts this time..... *sigh* :steering
