Teacher's Union gives $65 million to left-wingers

So...what would happen if this money were given to faith based programs and conservative groups like the NRA's Eddie the Eagle program (promotes firearm safety to youngsters)?

Huge uproar is what I'm thinking. In the end however, the teachers union is a private organization and they can do what they wish with their money. But it goes to show you how hard it is to give a child an unbiased education. This used to be less of a problem since in the past parents raised their children and instilled values. But with teachers being more of a mentor than the parents whose only concern is the unending quest for financial success; it is increasingly becoming more of an issue.

But I don't have kids so what the hell do I know? :biggrin:

Bingo Steve... you are very wise Steve very wise...

When parents try to hold teachers accountable for raising their children instead of teaching them the 3 R's. That is my job to teach children not raise them. But so many kids don't have parents around anymore.

I have a student who stays up until his mother comes home around 3 in the morning every night. This is the only way he can spend time with her. Everyday he is dead tired in class. Luckily he has natural talent to learn. He spends most of his morning barely awake. Nice kid I really feel for him.
