I highly doubt the brand of belt you use would be the cause of this. Most likely it is due to other things causing the belt to get messed up. Check and make sure that nothing is in the engine compartment shifting and maybe being able to rub on the belt. Another scenario, though extremely rare, is that one of your front drive accessories has shifted forward or backward due to a broken mount which would cause misalignment. In the right cases it will cause the belt to get shredded up too. Hope this helps.

If you don't see any problems sticking out at you then put another belt on and then take a good look without it running to see if there is anything that looks like it could possibly be making contact. More than likely you will be able to find the problem pretty quick.

Good advice. It's got to be alignment or pulley damage if nothing is hitting the belt. Carefully inspect every pulley for damage.

or is could be:
- one of the pullies is slightly out-of-striaght - as they have ridges on each side to hold the belt on. basically something is loose.
- on of the idler pullies are worn out, causing the belt to rub over it
- something got got caught in the belt and is now 'packed' in the ridges on one of the pullies and eating at the belt

Where is the belt wearing?

Another one I just thought of is to make sure all your front accessories spin. Sometimes an A/C clutch/compressor will sieze up and grind a belt. This one you would have probably noticed and it would have eaten your belt really quick, but ya might as well eliminate all possibilities.
