Thanks guys on the advice about hopping up my 95 MkVIII.

I have decided not to go that route and instead have my car outfitted with only the best car audio components possible. I will have pics when install is done, but here is what I have purchased.

Front Stage: Focal 165KP components powered by Audison LRx2.150
Rear Fill: Focal 165CA coaxial powered by Audison LRx2.150
Sub: Focal 33WS 13" sub powered by Audison LRx1.400

Equalization: Orion DEQ30
Head Unit: Eclipse CD8455

Custom install to follow.

Starts next week! :L

Looks like good equipment. I prefer Digital Designs drivers myself.

Yea DD makes great subs, they are local here in Oklahoma City, but I have listened to their components, and although midbass out the butt, their tweets sounded very much like the shrill sound of MB Quart tweets. Doesn't suit my tastes since I need an excellent sound stage.

Now if I was all about SPL....HECK YEA I would be going with DD.

Excellent stuff if you like things loud!
