I have seen this little 'film' before, and I always wondered why the film maker didn't go to the obvious ending, all governments end up in an Oligarchy, and then the cycle begins again. It might take longer with a republic, but even the Republic of Rome fell into an Oligarchy after time.

Governments seem to be cyclic.

Most countries never get out of oligarchy.

Cuba, North Korea, Russia, Vietnam, China, and many others.

Israel is a good example of a republic that has not descended into democracy. Yet.
 
You wouldn't call that short if you knew my attention span lol.
