In anticipation of the one year anniversary of LVC.com I thought I would do a couple of polls for a certain lincoln vs a certain cadillac. I won't do a whole bunch, but I'll do a few. I'm working towards the 90's and this is the last one that I'm gonna do that's not from the 90's. This one is between two venerable 80's models:

The Mark VII vs. The Eldorado

I took the time to find a front shot, a side shot, a rear shot and a dash shot of each model (thank you cardomain.com!) When you post in the poll, post for the one you like better overall, but in the text part of the post, break it down. I.e. which rear do you like better, which dash do you like better, what about it do you like better, etc.

I will post my take on this on a later post.

Hope participation is high... after a couple more of these, I will get to the 90s (Mark VIII vs Eldorado...hold off on that one til I post it.)

Have fun!

My logic on these two is exactly the same as my logic on their 90's counterparts. One is sportier and one is more regal. In this medium, I would go for the sportiness and choose the Lincoln, although, I don't think I really see any luxury in the Lincoln, just muscle. And I do see some muscle in the caddy, though very little. I am not at all a fan of the caddy's dash, and only have a passing appreciation of the Lincoln's and then only because it bears a vague resemblence to the Mark III dash.

This is when Lincoln totally blew Cadillac out of the water. The Eldorado of this time can't even compare with the Mark VII. The only thing they have in common is two doors. We might as well compare the Mark VII to a cavalier.
