The oddest thing

It finally got cold this week in SC so I turned on the defrost. As I am driving down the highway I hear a pop and when I figured out what it was I was so confused. The vent on the driver side left had literally popped off. Here are some pics... I bought the car 3 months ago and I assume it was already broken and was just laid on the cover since I found the brackets broken inside the vent.

One of mine did the same thing. I just took some super glue and glued it on. Never had a problem after that. I mean you can buy a replacement but all it does is sit there. Who will know other than you?

Well now I will:gr_devil: That is really strange. Yeah I'm having a problem with the duct work in the A/C. Seems as if some of the seals or gaskets aren't contracting and expanding right, making a real loud creaking sound.

same thing happened to me but i just got it replaced under warranty. it is slightly darker though as the rest of the dash has faded a little.

My passenger side did the same thing and the dealer replaced it under warrenty. I was thinking of gluing it in place at first as well but figured it would be better to have a new one installed.

Same here. I just glued it in place even though it was under warranty.
