Hey everyone, my names Joe and I am the proud owner of a 1988 LSC. Maybe a little out of place among all the modular crowd, but none-the-less, a Lincoln fan indeed. I had a 88 Town Car Cartier I was working on in highschool. Had a 4" harwood fiberglass cowl (which me and my father made functional), dumped exhuast, and cragar SS's with Mickey Thompson 50 series Indy profiles. It was slow and smelly, but that thing could turn heads haha. Lost it to a mystery fire (knowing what I know now, probably stock ignition modual). Anyways, I'm now looking into beggining some more serious mods to my mark. Either a t5 conversion, or a roller 351w swap. Hope to get to know some good people, and share some good times...and apparantly babble alot lol:rolleyes:

I actually picked mine up as part of a "competition". A buddy and myself ha made a wager where we each coul spend exactly $1,000 on a car and we were going to take them to the strip this spring. Winner keeps both cars, kinda like "pinks". I picked my lsc up for $700 with a bad shift solenoid and a disconnected O2 sensor. I paid $50 for a new Bosch and chose to ignore the shifting issuer as I already know these AODE's are almost a joke at the strip when stock. My buddy in the meantime had found a 1995 Buick roadmaster with the fullsize lt1, not the little 4.2 v8 some had. Both cars had over 200k miles but he couldn't get the guy talked down from the $1,300 he wanted to meet the limit. A couple nights out and a few long discussions on how I had sourced a Nitrous Express system off a buddy for $200 (putting me around $950) and he lost his faith. I then almost traded it for a gorgeous 97 lsc that was a darker red with a tan sim-con top. Luckily I didn't as the guy who bought it said he's already got about $2,000 in fixing it up (mostly a bad trans).
