Thermostat housing on 03 ls v8. How many outlets are there and is one capped off? Besides the thermostat cap?

Thank you, I thought the elbow,body and thermostat housing was one unit! Same thing happened to me with the end cap blowing off! Like yours did.

no there is a ton of different plastic parts. I believe you are referring to the "coolant outlet pipe.
unfortunately, they all have about the same life span, once one part fails, then every other plastic cooling part is at the end of its life and is also ready to burst. hell a couple more fell apart just from taking every thing apart to replace it.
very long story very short, you will need to replace all of the plastic cooling system parts unless you want to do this again and again every few weeks.
