Well I bought the first Mark VIII a month ago.Bought one off of e-bay last week for my son. Went to the seller to put up the deposit and check the car over, I did good, real good. Decided to see if the seller had any parts cars there to fix the one I just bought for the son, and low and behold, he had 4 others. His other mechanics put me on to one that he just received, and after a little bit of haggeling, I bought that one also. So now we have three. Waiting for the two new one to be delivered this week.
Had busy weekend trying to get the 96 in shape for the meet. Installed the new wires. (Nology)(Thanks ONEBADMK8 and team LMS). Removed the resonators fron the intake tube, and drilled the airbox. And yes this little trick does make a difference. Installed the 10 disk changer. Man has gotta have tunes, doesn't he!! Blacked out the crome on the doors. And all of this was done after two nights of heavy drinking at the local watering hole with a very wild group of gorgeous females.
Next weekend, (if not sooner) the suspension kit from 1wykdmk8 goes on. (Tech article to follow) Too bad the 19's wont be in on time. And as soon as the red one that I just bought is on the road, the 96 goes in for paint.
Did I mention that I like these things. My 21 year old son is very excited and eager to get started on the 93 that we bought off e-bay. He has been bummed since he crashed my beemer last year. http://mmyers.com/Micah's_Page.html (For pics of the dead beemer and it's replacement.)
I would like to express my sincere thanks to all who have helped me out directly or indirectly through posts. Any members ever need help while in the York, PA area, contact me. I'll do what I can to help out. I have many tools and having been a mechanic for years, a fair amount of knowledge.
OK, long post, Buford tired. Need sleep.
